Rites of passage ceremonies mark the passage of a person from one stage of life to another. In other times, these transition times were marked by rites of initiation or other ceremonies. And in some organised religions, ceremonies for young people are held - bar mitzvah or bat mitzvah or confirmation in the Christian Church. However, many people no longer attend church and the religious ceremonies may not reflect your beliefs and ideals. |
 |
I can design ceremonies to help young people feel acknowledged as they are passing from one period of their life into a new phase. Or you may wish to hold a private ceremony. If you do, there are lots of resources available to help you. |

Some of the ceremonies you may like to consider are:
- puberty
- menarche (onset of menstruation)
- coming of age
- civil confirmation.

I hold a current blue card to work with young people. |
 |
I provide you with a certificate for any ceremony I perform. And I work with you to create a ceremony that you feel comfortable with and that truly honours the young person in the process of transformation. |
